Dial and Lock Safety Information

Before leaving the pharmacy, instruct patients to follow these steps:
  1. Remove the DIASTAT AcuDial from the case.
  2. Confirm that the prescribed dose is visible in the display window, and if known, is correct.
  3. Make sure that the green "Ready" band is visible. If it is not, see instructions below.

  4. If the prescription is for a child, ensure you have the smaller tip size. Tip sizes come in 4.4 cm or 6.0 cm.
  5. Because you receive 2 DIASTAT AcuDial delivery systems as part of your Twin Pack with each prescription, be sure to double check both.
  6. Ask the pharmacist if you have any questions about these instructions.

If patient does not see the green "READY" band, it means that DIASTAT AcuDial is not properly locked in.
  • If patient is at the pharmacy when this happens, they should not accept the prescription and contact the pharmacist immediately.
  • If patient has already left the pharmacy, return the DIASTAT AcuDial to the pharmacy immediately.
  • In either case, patient should also call 1-877-361-2719.
